Head HR – India, Barclays
Arun Kumar Krishnamurthy joined Barclays in December 2016 as the Country Head of HR for India, which includes the Bank as well as the Global Service Centre based in India. He is a member of the Barclays Country Management team and in the Group Service Company India Executive Management team.
Arun was previously the HR Director for Vodafone in Romania. In his earlier roles with the company, he had served as the Global HR Head for Vodafone Shared Services and as Head of HR for IT at Vodafone Group, based in UK. Prior to joining Vodafone, Arun worked for Unilever Group in UK and Hindustan Unilever in India for over nine years across a range of strategic business partnering and HR expertise roles. Over the years, Arun has brought energy and passion to build talent and organizational capabilities, drive business transformation agendas and build high performance HR teams.
Arun is a Chartered Fellow (FCIPD) of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, UK. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Symbiosis, Pune and a Master’s Degree in Psychology from University of Madras. Arun enjoys working within multi-cultural, diverse organizations and with business leaders who have a shared appreciation of excellence in human capital management.
